At Plastic Pictures we make a huge range of content, for all kinds of audiences.

Part of the fun of what we do is finding fresh ways to tell a story.

On a recent project with Havas Just Health for Shire, our brief was to create a film to raise awareness about ADHD in adults - something most people don’t know a lot about.

So how could we present this content in a bang up to date way, conveying how it really feels to have this condition as an adult? Answer: how about engaging the talents of award-winning performance poet, Theresa Lola?

Theresa is a London based poet, considered one of the most up and coming on the UK scene and most recently crowned the 2017 Hammer and Tongue National Slam Champion. Known for her acutely observational and powerful work, she was the perfect choice to give our film a voice.

We asked Theresa to create an original poem to depict life from the viewpoint of an adult with ADHD. Our film captures an intimate and stylised performance of this insightful piece. Shot in an urban environment, we see Theresa speak of the challenges faced by those with this isolating and misunderstood condition.

The result is a beautiful little film that we are proud to have helped create.
